Section-Wide Program Adopted
At Moultrie To Be Presented
In Southwest Georgia
MOULTRIE, Oct. 17.—Moulrie
bankers are squarely behind the
movement to adopt a balanced and
uniform farming program for this
section of Georgia, and they are
planning to present such a program
to farmers throughou his secion of
the state.
The program adopted by Colquitt
county a few weeks ago is believed
to be suited, with a few minor
changes, to this whole section and
the bansers have agreyd upon lead
ing in the formation of local organ
izations to put in a similar system
of farming in practically all coun
ties. ,
This schedule of crops, using d
one horse farm of 80 acres as the
unit, follows:
Corn, velvet beans and runner
peanuts, ten acres.
Oats'followed by peavine hay,
five acres.
Sweet potatoes, sug'ar cane, sor
ghum cane millet, garden, five acres.
Truck two acres.
Cotton five acres.
Three to five milk cows, two pure
bred brood sows and fifty pure
bred hens. -
Permanent pasture on waste or
■vet land, three to five acres.
Stalk destruction as early before
