In this and the following articles,
I will give a few simp!' exercises
that, faithfully followed just before

one.
No special clothing is required,
although a swimming or gym suit
is preferable.
Here's the first exercise:
Stand with the heels together and
with the arms out of the side, palm
down.
Then, at the count of one, brio"
the arms up, turning them so that
thunftis touch over the head.
Stretch the arms as much as pt»s

At the count Os two bring the
arms back to the fir-t position.
Do this 12 times in rapid success

This exercise will help reduce the
-tomach and arms, and at the same
time, strengthen the solar plexus
and shoulder muscles.

Movie Beauties
Use these powders—you will revel in them
By Edna Wallace Hopper
1 have for years paid $5 a box for
my powders—to get the finest in
existence. So do most movie beau
ties. They must have the best.
I started to offer other women
my aids to beaut*,’ and to youth. But
never thought of powders. I did
not dream that such powders as I
use -could be supplied at modest
prices.
But the makers have helped me
out. They now supply me these pow
ders under my name at a price
which all can pay. I told them that
women would buy millions of boxes.
So those Who use my beauty n. Ips
may now At my powders, too.
N<Vne so Exquisite
These pSwders are supreme pro
ductions, made for those
who demand the best, with
out regard to price. They
are as fine as vapor, as harmless a
dew, and fragrant with my favorite
l-erfume. Most of you have never
seen such exquisite powders.
There are two kinds, light and
heavy. I use a heavy cold cream
powder with a base like my Youth
Cream. It clings and stays. But
