Kellogg’s Bran delights father
by bringing health to children
Poor little kids—the;’ heeded bran
badly. But they wouldn’t pat ordi
nary brans. They didn’t like them.
Most folks don't. Thon their father
tried Kellogg’s Bran, cooked and
knunbled. What a difference! He
tells the story in his letter;
“Dear Sira:
I wish to express my appreciation
of your krumbled bran, which I have
used for my children this summer.
"We had a great deal of trouble with
them through constipation, and bran
had been the most satisfactory rem
edy but they could not be induced to
take the old varieties . . . because
they disliked them so. They enjoy the
krumbled bran and consider it an
essential ingredient of their porridge.
3Mo one whose children have not been
trouhied in this way can appreciate
the relief there is in having their
bowel* -move regularly.”

WHAT’S GOING ON
LA FOLLETTE —STONE QUIZZES —GERMANY
IN THE WORLD
BY CHARLES P. STEWART
Nt A Service Writer
/ Ever since the insurgc.ps (rc
gardless of party) in Congress be
■. gan investigating, the old guard.
j men (regardless of party) have
j been trying to hush it up. Failing
they’ve grabbed a club. In his mcs
sage on the subject to the Senate,
( President Coolidge said in effect:
s “■We’ve stood this nonsense quite a
1 while. Now we’re sick of it. Lay
“ off.”
. » .
Taken by Surprise
The oil and Daugherty inquiries
■ took the old guard by surprise,
t They got beyond control. Not so
s Senator Couzen’ demarjl for a
treasury inquiry. The old guard
saw that coming. Couzens was giv
on a committee guaranteed not to
investigate. Couzens simply “floun-
■ dered around,” as he says. His
committe blocked all his moves. He
was' ’t a trained investigator, any
way. So he hired a specialist Fran
cis Heney, a fiiuckraker of world
fame. Desperate, the old guard
tried to keep Heney off the job.
That didn’t work. It tried to end
the inquiry. There was danger
that wouldn’t work either. Secre
tary of the Treasury Mellon threat
ened to resign.
Going Too Far
It was them that President Cooli
dge notified the Senate it Was |
“going beyond the law” and it was
bis “duty to resist.”
G°t to Stop
It’s as if the accused (meaning
the old guard and not the president
1 at the Kellcgg Company, Battle
Creek, Mich.)
. Constipation is a dangerous disease.
■ It should not be neglected. But do
I not try halfway measures in seeking
> relief. Kellogg’s Bran is ALL bran.
And it takes ALL bran to be 100%
effective. Kellogg’s Bran is guaran
teed to bring permanent relief, if
eaten regularly, in the most chronic
cases. If it fails, your grocer will re
turn your money.
Eat two tablespoonfuls daily—in
chronic cases, with every meal. Eat
it with milk or cream. The flavor is
delicious. Sprinkle it on other een-als.
Cook it with hot cereals. Try it in the
recipes on every package. It will bring
you health. Begin eating it to-day.
Made in Battle Creek, bold by ail
grucera.

Wheeler’s indictment
The insurgents are trying to hook
'the old guard up with Senator
i Wheeler’s irdictment in Montana,
it's significant that the Senate voted
co investigate, not Wheeler, but the
grand jury which indicted him, to
see if the indictment was a move
to discredit the Daugherty inquiry,
in which Wheeler has beer a leader.
