LASSES WHITE SCORES
BEFORE BIG AUDIENCE
(From The Greensboro Daily (N.
C.) News. Nov. 19.)
If you like a minst-el show, and
apparently nearly everybody in.
Greensboro does, the Lasses White
production of last night at the
Grand was a smooth all-round per
formance with more pace and fun
than most minstrels and with good
singing to get by with.
Comparison with the -ill G. Field
organization is inevitable. The opin
ion is that Lasses White ranks
higher\ in sheer minsiml output,
meanink singing, dancing ano the
usual jolKfts and joking although it

WAYCROSS, Dec I—Judge J.
I Summerall, of the superior court
of the Waycross district, dropped
dead in the pulpit of the Baptist
church at Telmore, where he had
been conducting the Sunday serv

was on the point of completing Ijis
talk, which was described by friends
as being one of the best he ever de

seated near him and asked for a
glass of water. Before his request
could be complied w : th he dropped
to the floor and died within a few
minutes.
Although Judge Summerall has
been in poor health for some time,
his sudden death Sunday came as a
distinct shock to his hundreds of
friends throughout the state.
A distinguished jurist, with every
vein of human kindness running
through his being, he led won a
place in the affections of every
lawyer whg has ever practiced in
his court.
He is survived by his widow; one
son, William, and two daughters,
Misses Lois and Leila Summerall.

day afternoon in Blackshear.
the audience did not ’ike. Doss las
enough without this stuff; he should
can it.
Lasses White did a better piece of
work in singing his own song, “Two
Timing Mind,” than a’ any other
moment even if he did carry the
burden of the second half.

The fire department responded
to an alarm turned in by one of tiie
