The A., H. & X. is to have as good facilities in Albany as any road |whieh goes there. The general Offices of tho A., F. A- X. and tho shops will he one and the same witli those of flic 8., A. A M. in Amerieus, and they will remain liesc. This acquisition is but a link in the great system which the S., A. A- M. is becoming. It will be a valuable feeder for that road. From one end of the country to the other the S., A. A M. is becoming known. The engineer in charge lias ■ notified tho oliiccrs of tlie road that track laying to Montgomery will be completed by June gO. Owing to a dc- Lyb. the shipment of some of the ma terial far tho bridge across the Chatta hoochee river that structure will uot be completed before August 1. Iiy that time all sidetracks will have been put In, the terminal facilities will be ar- rqngiAi in Montgomery, ail surfacing will have been done and the road will be toady for the large traffic ft is sure to recive. * Mr. W. E, Hawkins says that dur the coming fall tho business of the road will, he has every reason to believe, bo $10,000 per month In excess ' of what it wasdnrlng the fall of 1890. When the al most phenomenal business done during that season is considered it will be seen •t a glance how wonderful is the busi ness of the Savannah, Americas & Montgomery road, and I GASHED WITH \ KNIFE.
