6 THE AMERICUS WEEKL TJLMES-RECOh DER: FRIDAY, AUGUST 14, 1891. It isn't the usual way —it’s just the reverse—to pay a patient when yon can’t cure him. Nevertheless, that’s what’s done by the proprietors of Dr. Sage’s Ca tarrh Remedy. They promise to pay you *500 if they can’t cure your catarrh, no matter how bad the case. It isn’t mere talk—it’s business. You can satisfy yourself of it, if you’re interested. And you ought to be, if you have catarrh. It’s faith in their medicine that’s behind the offer. It has cured thousands of the worst cases, where everything else failed. You can be cured, too. If you can’t, you got the money. They’re willing to tako the risk—you ought to be glad to take the medicine. It’s the cheapest medicine yi can buy, because it’s guaranteed to give satisfaction, or your money is returned. You only pay for the good yon get. Can*you ask more? That’s the peculiar plan all Dr. Pierce’s medicines are sold on. “Jack tli»* Ripper" Once More. London*, August 7.-— Much excitement was occasioned in the Whitechapel dis trict this morning when a rumor was rapidly passed from mouth to mouth that the dreaded “Jack the Ripper” had appeared and committed one of his butcheries that has made his name a household word in this most ill-favored portion of London. At an early hour this morning, as one of the denizen of Whitechapel, an old woman named Wolfe, was passing through one of the numerous dark alleys with which the region abounds, she was set upon by an unknown man armed with a sharp knife. From what can be learned of the cir cumstances surrounding the attack, it appears that the man, whom the people of Whitechapel are firmly convinced was the famous “Ripper,” used his khife with fiendish energy. The usual beastly details are given, which we leave out as unhealthy read ing. This is the way -with the Ball corset: if you want ease and shapeliness, you buy it—but you don’t keep it unless you like it. After two or three weeks’ wear, you can return it and have your money. Comfort isn’t all of it though. Soft Eyelets, and “bones" that can’t break or kink—Ball’s corsets have both of these. For sale by GEO. D. WHEATLEY. 1 r 0 8 Old Nick Whiskey is the best and is noted for its and purity, having been made on the same plantation over 123 years without a rival as we constantly keep four year old RYE AND CORN on hand—ship any quantity, so write for price-list.
