It's a sign
that you need help, when pimples,
blotches, and eruptions begin to ap
pear. Your blood needs looking
after. You’ll have graver matters
than pimples to deal with, if you
neglect it. Dr. Pierce’s Golden
Medical Discovery prevents and
cures all diseases and disorders
caused by impuro blood. It invig
orates the liver, purifies tho blood,
and promotes all tho bodily func
tions. For all forms of scrofulous,
6kiu and scalp disease, and even
Consumption (which is really lung-
scrofula) in all its earlier stages, it
is a certain remedy. It’s tho only
one that’s guaranteed, in every case,
to benefit or cure, or tho money is
refunded. It’s a matter of confi
dence in one’s medicine.
It is tho cheapest blood-purifier
Bold, through druggists, because you
only pay for the good you get.
Can you ask more ?
The “ Discovery ” act3 equally
well all the gear round.
This is the way
with the Ball corset: if you
want ease and shapeliness,
you buy it—but you don’t
keep it unless you like it.
After two or three weeks’
wear, you can return it and
have your money.
Comfort isn’t all of it
though. Soft Eyelets, and
"bones” that can’t break or
kink—Ball’s corsets have
both of these.

Senator Morgan Keplleit to the Attacks
of President Adam
Biumixuham, Ala., August 21. —At
the recent meeting of the state alliance
Presidents. M. Adams, in a speech, at
tacked Senator .John T. Morgan, alio
Ing that Morgan had severely lidiculed
the alliance and the sub-treasury scheme
in a speech before the State Press Asso
ciation at Anniston.
Tho daily News to-day publishes a
column and a half reply from Morgan,
in which he refutes Adams’ charges,
and denounces him bitteily. Seuator
Morgan takes occasion to thoroughly
expose the sub-treasury schemo and de
nounces it as a humbug. lie says the
men who support the scheme are being
led into something that is unjust or
dangerous in legislation; being deceiyed
as to its merits, they will soon rectify
their opinions, and the scheme will pass
away as thousands of such fallacies
have.
Morgan adds: “l would be glad to
except Adams from the class who know
the right and yet the wrong pursue, but
his latest utterances and performances!
indicate that, in excepting him, I would |
either underrate his good sense or I
would overrate his honesty. The sub
treasury schemejis of republican origin,
and was imported to the south as a sub
to a whole, and only for the purpose of
mischief. It has nearly accomplished
its mission, which is to divide tho peo
ple and ferment strife.”
Morgan predicts the early death of
the sub-treasury. Ho says Adams’
course is dangerous to the Alliance, and
that the attack made by Adams upon
was unprovoked. Morgan’s letter
