Ghand Rapids, Midi.. Oct. 21. —I. M.
Western has received a letter from Ex-
President Cleveland, in response to an
Invitation to assist m the Congressional
campaign now in progress. In it lie sav.s
he does not think lie ought to advise
or instruct the people of this district
how they should discharge their politi
cal duty. ‘-You tell me that the con
gressional campaign is being conducted
on the tariff issue," he continued. "I
do not fear tit it there will by any lack
of argument and reasoning by those
who are on th“ spot, and w l,<> advocate
such an adjustment of our rev. uue laws
as will give to our workingmen the best
rewards for their labors, and supply to
them, and all others who earn their liv
ing, the necessaries of life ut a cheaper
cost. I: these things were accomplished
it is perfectly evident that the condi
tions of all who work would be im
mensely benefited.”

Unturned to Ills Old Home.
Dr. It. C. Black, an old and prominent
citizen of Americus, who moved to Flor

stato and will engage in business here
for the future.
Dr. Black says that Americus is good
enough for him, and that he proposes
ending his days here.
Mr. C. B. Jones, of Spring Ilill, Iowa
says: “I have used Chamberlain’s Pain
Balm for severe and painful burns with
better effect than anything else I have
ever tried. It relieves the pain instantly
and cures without leaving a scar.” Pain
Balm is ono of the most useful medicines
that any family cau be provided with,
especially for rheumatism, lamo hack,
sprains, bruises, tooth-ache, ear-ache
and like ailments. Ono .application will
relieve the pain, and a fair trial insure a
cure. 50 cent bottles for salo by W. C.

SAYS WILL LIVE FOREVER.
A prominent Savannahiar, formerly
superintendent of a railroad says:
was crippled in my feet auJ arms so
that I could not walk without crutches,
nor eat without having a servant to feed
me. 1 tried physicians everywhere, but
to no purpose, and finally went to Now
York, where my doctors, at one time,
decided to amputate my arm, but found
that course impracticable on account of
a wound I had received during the war.
I returned to Savannah a complete
wreck, and my case seemingly hopeless.
As a forlorn hope I began to take P. P.
P., and am rejoiced to say that- after
using three bottles my limbs began to
straighten out, my appetite and health
soon returned, and I now feel like a new
man; really, as if 1 had been made over
again, and as if I could live forever—so
long as I can get P. P. P.”
