—ono of Dr. Pierce’s Pleasant Pel
lets. They do the right thing in the
right way. They cleanse and regu
late the 'liver, stomach and bowels
—thoroughly and effectively, but
mildly and gently. They persuade,
rather than force. Ono tiny, sugar-
coated Pellet’s a gentlo laxative;
three to four act as a cathartic.
They’re the smallest, but the best.
There’s less to take, but there’s
more good in it, when it’s taken.
They’re the original Little Liver
Pill, and they’ve never been equaled.
Sick Headache, Bilious Headache,
Constipation, Indigestion, Bilious
Attacks, and all derangements of
the liver, stomach and bowels, are
prevented, relieved, and cured.
They’re the cheapest pill you can
buy, because they’re guaranteed to
give satisfaction, or your money is
returned.

The .Savannah, Americus A- Montgom
ery and the Central arc still' at outs, with
mmediate prospects of a settlement
As long as the trouble continues so long
i will Savannah be injured, because the
foreign business of the Sain which has,
since the road begun operations, come
to Savannah, is being turned to Bruns
wick via Helena. #
The Savannah cotton which the Sam
is now handling comes via the East
Tennessee to Jessup, and from there to
its destination by tho Savannah, Florida
A Western, which road still continues
its arrangements, even thoug the Sam is
its competitor at several points.
Since the opnening of the cotton sea
son the Savannah, Americus and Mont
gomery has brought here in the neigh
borhood of 75,000 bales of cotton, be
sides an immense quantity of naval
stores and lumber. This business will
necessarily go to some other point next
year unless these is a settlement of the
present difficulty or the road is built
into Savannah.
Sixty-five miles is all that is required
to complete the line to Savannah, and
this distance, it is estimated, can be
built for $5,000 per mile, whieh would
only be $325,000. If Col. Hawkins re
ceives encouragement from Savannah's
business men ho will most likely com
plete bis road to this city. He is ex -
pocted here every day, and will be here
probably before the end of the week.
If the Sara road were completed into
Savannali it would give this porta splen
did lina to tlio west, via Montgomery,
Ala It would be a competitive line of
the Central for Western traffic, and the
competition would mean big results to
Savannah. Tho trouble between the
liiclunond and Danville and the Sam is
the golden opportunity for Savannah to
get another line of railroad.
Sonic railroad people think if the Sam
is completed to Savannah, it will mean a
Louisville & Nashville line of steamers
to New York. The Louisville & Nash
ville and the Sain people are on friendly
terms at Montgomery, and the big sys
tem is quite auxious to get a connection
to get into Savannah to compete with
the Richmond A Danville.
The Louisvillo A- Nashville people, it
is said on good authority, are determined
to get to the coast, even if they have to
build here themselves. An air-line from
Atlanta to Savannali is being considered
by them, in tho event they can’t get
here through a connection with the S.

Castoria is truly a marvelous thing for
children. Doctors prcscribo it it, med
ical journals recommend it and tnoru
than a million mothers are using it in
place of Paregoric, Bateman’s Drops, so-
”od soothing syrups and other nar-
o and stupefying remedies. Castoria
to quickest thing to regulate the
stomach and bowels and give healthy
sleep, the world has ever seen. It pleas
ant to the taste and absolutely harmless.
It relieves constipation, quiets pain,
cures diarrbcca and wind colic, allays
ferverishness, destroys worms, and pre
vents canvulsions, soothes the child and
gives its refreshing and natural sleep.
Castoria is the children’s panacea—the
mothers’ friend. nol7-eodlw-w2t
