ington, on "The Dignity That Education

President Chappell's farewell address
to the graduating class was masterful,
replete with Interest and full of logic.
Governor Nurthcn made a speech of
several minute* and delivered tbe diplo
mas and certificate* of proficiency to the
graduates.
Col. Robert Whitfield made a short
speech jnst before the close of the exer-
ciaos.
The farewell entertainment for tlm
bolutieyear was given Tuesday night
at the college. A number of distin
guished guests were present.

Wednesday, the 23th Inst, at Leslie, on
the 8am railroad. Everybody Is Invited,
and an enormons crowd Is expected from

A first-class band has been engaged for
