AMERIOUS GETS

Sneers of Enterprise Is Now Fully
Assured.
BULL DETAILS NOW COMPLETED
Balance of Money Required Was
Raised Yesterday and Carnival
Committee is Now Going to Work
in Earnest to Make it a Success.
Will Americas have that street fair
aud carnival? Most assaredly, yes.
While there was a shallow of donbt
about it np to yeBterday morning that
doubt was removed when Copt. J. B.
Felder and his committee, by nntiring
effort, secured the balance of tbe cash
needed to get tbe carnival here.
This settled the one important ques
tion, and now the entortaioment com
mittee is hard at work to’make the yen’
ture a big snccess.
It will be the grandest snccess of
the kind ever attempted here.
The Times-Recorder yesterday told
of many of the attractions which the
Berger & Sturges Carnival Co. would
bring here—fnlly a score—bnt Mr.
Berger stated yesterday that several
others wonld be added to tbe list.
He left vesterday to arrange for
these and retnrnB here Monday.
This Christmas week will be the liv-
licst ever witnessed in Americas, and
where usually the streets are wellnigh
deserted after Christmas day thous
ands will throng them this time.
For allof south Georgia will be in
vited to the show, and as it will bo
'holiday week" with all, the people
will oome to the show.
There is good reason to believe that
the management can seonre the at
tendance of at least a dozen military
companies and this will be a crowning
featnro. Gov. Candler and staff will
be invited to review tbe troops.
The Georgia Poultry Show, Mr.
Mr. Berger says, will be an attraction.
Just at this early stage it is impossi
ble to enumerate tbe many attractions,
but there will be plenty of them, and
thousands of visitors are ooming to
Americas’ Christmas Carnival. ’
BABY FOODS
It is clear that doctors and
mothers think more of special
foods than they used to.
The reasons are: (i) both
mothers and babies live less
naturally than they used to;
(2) mother’s milk is not so
plenty, and not so good, as it
used to be; (3) Scott’s emul
sion of cod-liver oil is mother
food as well as baby food
—enables the mother to feed
her baby naturally.
We’ll send yon a little to try If you like.
