Two Carolina-, Tennessee, Geor-ia,
Alabama and Mississippi,
Baltimore, June 14.—An interesting
illustration of the extension of capital
istic energies to industry in the south is
given in the announcement in this
week’s Manufacturers’ Record of plans
for a $250,000 fertilizer factory to be
built on property touched by two great
railroad systems a shgrt distance from
Atlanta, (5a. The Chicago company
which will build the plant has recently
completed a fertilizer factory at Balti
more, with a capacity of 60,000 tons an
nually, aud has largo works at Nash
ville, Tenn., and Jacksonville, Fla. It
has commenced work upon its Atlanta
plant on a site of 12 acres of land. The
mixing building will be 200 by 500
feet. The nominal capacity of the
establishment will be 60,000 tons a
year, but iu connection with it will
be large acid works which will admit of
an annual output of 75,000 tons of fer
tilizers of all kinds, if desired. The acid
plant will have a daily capacity of 60
tons. The raw material for the fertil
izer will be drawn from slaughterhouses
in the west, which will supply tankage

You certainly can not fail to see that it
will not hurt you to go see our stock, and
when you see it you will see where you can
