TVe mark it at an unreasonable price, that is an unreasonably low
price. The fag end of a season and our natural anxiety to clean up

the Dunn home were prettily decorat

vases of rare cat flowers lent their
beauty and fragrance as well.
The wedding march was skillfully
rendered by Miss Mervin Callaway.
Miss Dunn was attired in a l>;auti-
fal costume of white organdie over
white satin, as were her bridesmaids
MiBses Lucile and Eddie Belle Dunn.
Her brother, Mr. Harry Dunn, and
Mr. Harry Layfleld, a younger broth
er of the groom, were the other at
tendants.
When congratulations had been ex
tended the guests were invited to par
take of the wedding lunch, Berve’ in
the prettily decorated dining room and

attractive and charming young women

traits and accomplishments. Ur. Liy-

DISASTER IN THIS HAIL STORM
Plantations to North of Ellaville
Devastated.
Farmers from Schley county in
Americus yesterday brought further
particulars of the devastating hail
storm Jthat swept that section the af
ternoon before. The storm was par
ticularly severe to the west of E.la
ville with great fury beating the
cotton plants into the ground and
stripping the young corn. Many crops
were literally ruined, it is said, while
outhouses and fences were blown
down. It is jaBt another chapter in
the ruin wrought in this section.
If warm weather makes you feel weary
you may be sure your system needs
cleansing. Use Prickly Ash Bitters
before the hot weather arnvos; it will
put the stomach, liver and bowels in
order and help you through the heated
term. Dr, E. J. Eldridgo.
OCKINGTON WILL IS PROBATED.
Relatives of Deceased Will Make No
Contest.
The will of the late Col. James G.
Ookington, a former resident of Amori
cus and who died quite recently in Ma
con, has jast been probated there. A
sister of the deceased residing at Irwin-
ton is the sole beneficiary and inherits
the entire estate, valued at $25,000. It
had been thought that relatives in the
North and East would contest the will,
but a letter from the relatives who had
been investigating the matter was re-
ceivcd yesterday stating that no objec
tions wonld be filed.

THE MAN WITH A COLO
is a nuisance to others as well as sufl'er-
er himself. Hi Is inexcusable when h'c
can find so many excellent remedies
at Hudson’s drugstore. True, if.Jhe
has asthma, it’s doubtful if helcan ob
tain a perfect cure. But it’s rather late
for asthma, and there is relief for even
that annoying ailment. Stop sneezing
and coughing. Stop at Hudson’s] and

CONDITION IS MUCH IMPROVED.
Col. Hawkins is Slowly Regaining
His Strength.
Tho friends of Col. S. H. Hawkins
will be pleased to learn of his continn-
ed improvement which, though slow,
gives evidence of permanency. Several
weeks aga he received a stroke of par
alysis affecting his right side, and has
since been confined to his bed. Yes
terday it was stated that he was able to
sit up just a little, for the first time
during his illness, aud is now regain
ing the use of his arm and limb.
Didn't Marry For Money.

WHIPPED THE Y0DNG C00NLET.
Rock Thrower Is Given a Sound
Thrashing.
There is one little nig in Americas
wno has a decided distaste for “chunk
ing” rocks, aud as he eats his meals off
the mantelpiece will meditate upon
his past mistakes.
This coonlet “sassed” a white boy
and cast pebbles at him.
There are hundreds such black rock
tossers in Americas, and Mayor Fel
der decided to give this one u lesson
he would remember.
The boy’s mother was told that if
she would administer a sound thrash
ing the game would be called square.
The old lady seemed glad at getting
such a chance.
Oue of the firemen loaned a whale
bone whip, and for ten minutes pas
sers-by thought some new-fangled fire
alarm was in action.
