at all superstitious, but when he

its number and also remembered that

passengers handled along the road got

meeting of the Farmers National Con
greas, to be held in Macon October 7th
to Itth, Every state in the Union will

snm of money for the expenses and en
tertalnment of tbe congress. The
Southwestern Passenger Association
has made n rate of one fare for the
round trip. The congress is composed
of delegates appointed by tbe govern
ers of various states.

ters of the chief train dispatchers

sion of tbe Seaboard Airline, tbe

this is the bringing of fonr additional
families here, besides facilitating tbe

two ago tbe dispatcher’s office was re
moved to Savannah, bat it has been
found more advantageous to have it
again located in Americas, tbe centre
of this division. Chief J. M. Askew
will be in charge and will have three or

breaking the record for fast running
on that line since the days of Nancy
Hanks.

sixty miles an hour.
The train stopped only at Macon
and Smithville on the run of 20* miles
from Atlanta to Albany.
