June 21.—Wil liam Vaughan, of liiimlngham, chair man of the Republican state executive committee, iu an interview while ill Montgomery formally announced that the Republicans of Alabama will nom inate a complete list of candidates for state offices to go before the people at the November elections, and that they will make a determined effort to win. Mr. Vuugnan, who is the United States district attorney for the north ern district of Alabama, with head quarters in Birmingham, came to Montgomery yesterday to confer with Republican leaders. In an interview Mr. Vaughan said tae Republican committee would not he called to meet until after the Dcm ocratic committee had acted and the .course of the Democrats had been made clear to the public. The Repuh lican party, he declared, would put a full ticket in the field. This ticket,-he said, would be headed by a candidate for governor, who is a well known bus iness man and has not heretofore been Identified with politics. Fatal Accident cn South Carolina and Georgia Railroad. Shelby, N. C., June 20.—A portion of a mixed train on the South Caro lina and Georgia extension railroad fell through an approach to tho bridge over Broad river yesterday afternoon, killing one man and Injuring over a dozen passengers. The dead: I.CRoy Grlgg, Shelby. The Injured:' Edward Turner, conductor. p. W. Phiffer, trestle master. Riley Whlsenant, a negro. A dozen passengers, including two ladies, were also Injured, but their narcos arc not known. About the time the rear coach was on the span Just above the river En gineer Albert felt tho trestle giving away, and opening the throttle, sent the train aeroes the bridge, saving all of it except the rear coach and three box ears. The coach fell precipitately 50 feat on the brink of tho river, swollen by the recent rains, and was caught by the stone pier supporting the bridge, which saved tho passengers from a watery grave.
