Thorn is a graducl Increase in the business done at thia office, not a sud den expansion but a slow, ateady growth. When Postinaater Mitchell asaumed -harge the caaii receipta of the office aggregated about 31.1,000. The rate of Increase has been at the rate of about $700 a year. Athens reports that it has entered the list of first class post offices, its total receipts for the year being over $10,000.
