•ine Mrs. Jean Trautman, tho beautiful
voung Georgia woman who recently
was arrested in the latter city upon tho
charge of robbery.
Mrs. Trautman, who is wealthy and
stands- well socially in the big metroti
oils, was said to have robbed a clerk
■of 113: Her arrest lollowed, and the
charge was disproven.
Now she is in tho limelight because
■of an alleged debt of sovoral hundred
dollars Incurred at a department store
and suit Is threatened. Tho bill Is
about $700, and her husband, u celebra
ted alienist, lius balked thereat and re
fuses to pay.
The New York papers are full of tho
story, as aro tho Atlanta papers. Mrs
Trautman was formerly Miss Jean
Davis, a member of a prominent family
in Terry (la. She has visited Ameri
cus as a young lady, and her pretty
face is remembered by many here
She is said to be in Atlanta at present
upon a visit.

Tlie funeral services were conducted
jointly: by ltev. O. I*. Gilbert of First
Baptist church, Rev. J. P. Wardlaw,
of First Mothodist, ltev. H. I,. Bivins
of Furlow Lawn Baptist, and were
most beautiful and touching in their
deep impressiveness.
The casket was openod in the church
and many viewed tho calm fuce or the
dead who. in life, was so much beloved
by all here.
A great cortege followed the casket
to Oakgrove Cemetery, upon conclu
sion of the exercises at the church.
There, the funeral services were con
cluded with Masonic honors.

Thirty miles of now track between
Macon and .Atlanta are now being con
structed by the Central ofGcorgia Rail

Her sixty yean upon earth : wore

sincere friend, her gentle presence was

Among women she shone preeminent
like a priceless gem in a coronet or a

Patiently and with Christian fortltuda

Crisp, she has lived quietly at her
beautiful homo in Americus, sur

Mrs. Crisp was the eldest daughter or
Mr. and Mrs. ltobort Burton, a pioneer
family of Mouthorn Goorgla, Ono sis-
tor, Mrs. J. N. Scarborough, atono re

survived by<two sons, Judgo Charles K.
and Frod Crisp, and two daughters.
