Collum, VETERANS TO JOIN OTHERS Americus Gamp Will Go Wim Albany. Macon and Montezuma on 28. Camp Sumter No. 642, United Con federate Veterans, have changed the date of their departure for Richmond from May 26th to 28tb, two dayi later and thereby will have plenty of com pany all the way, a fact which will add much to tho enjoyment of all. The change of date of departure was announced yeaterdar. The camp at Albany, the Monte zuma camp and the two Macon camps are going to Richmond on 28th, and the veterans of ^he five camps will take this journey together. The other details of the trip remain asiannounced heretofore. The Ameri cus camp will have a private car run ning through to Richmond without c'lauge. Veterani, if they prefer, can have sleeping berths secured here through Commander Davenport. , At Macon this car will be attached to the '‘Veterans Special” and carried through to Richmond. AMERICUS GETS GEORGIA’S FIRST Bifshel.of Early Peaches Displayed Here. Peachetioally, Americus leads the State of Georgia this season. The first of ths crop were displayed yeaterdsy at the Greek store on Forsyth streot and, while none too tempting, were peaches nevertheless. This is about as early as this variety mature here.
