in the long distance business the
busiest hours are generally from 6 ,to
8 p. m„ when the reduced night rates
are on. At tnat time the operators in
charge of the long distance phones are
kept very busy.

cus exchange. His territory runs
from Macon to Monticello, Fla., and
from Helena to Columbus. Any
trouble in all that oxtenslve country
is reportod to him and he directs . the
necessary work of repairs.
In addition there is the local line
force, consisting of Mr. C. S. Duebler,
foreman, and hit two assistant line
men, Messrs. W. H. Wood and B. F,
Stubbs.
