This fact became known when committee from McLaw’s Camp Confederate Veterans, reported Its failure to get cither a special car or a reduced rate for those who want to attend the state reunion at Augus ta next month. The committee reported than an ef fort had been made to get some satis, faction from the Central officials re lative to special rates for trips, but there was nothing doing. The veterans are hopeful, however, as they expect the Augusta Committee to meet with more success and at least secure a one-fare rate for the round trip.
