Mr. N. A. Ray, .who is Interested In
the big Bagley-Ray-Gober orchard
near Americus, was In the city yes
terday and talked enthusiastically
over the peach crop. “You may say
that at this time the prospect of an
abundant fruit crop Is the finest we
have had at the middle of March,
said Mr, Ray to the Tlmes-Recorder.
"The trees are heavily laden, their
physical condition Is the very best,
and if the weather conditions remain
favorable from this date our peach
■crop will be an enormous one, Mr.
Ray said. This big orchard con
tains about 350,000 peachtrees, nearly
all of which will be In bearing this
year.' Some of the finest fruit grown
In Georgia comes from 1 this great
orchard, and with a handsome for
tune hinging upon the golden har
vest. the solicitude felt for the safety
of the crop at this ttam may well be
