WORKING ON CENSUS
BEGUN ON MONDAY
Mr. Persons is Now Get
ting Names.
Mr. W. P. Persons, who has been
secured by the publishers of the new
city directory to take the census of
Americus, began his arduous work
Monday morning, and already has
listed hundreds of names. Mr. Per
sons will do the work carefully, and
will forfeit a certain amount,' it is
said, for every name which it can' be
shown he overlooked in canvassing
the city. Mr. Persons is sure that he
can take the census within forty
davs, and if the work is completed by
that time the correct population of
Americus will appear in the mercan
tile publications when issued later in
the year. And the new census, it is
quite certain, will show at least 32,-
000 to 15,000 people in Americus, with
the name and street address of each
one here.

Unhealthy Kidneys Make Impure Blood.
All the blood in your body passes through
your kidneys once every three minutes.
The kidneys are your

If they are sick or out

their work.
Pains, aches and rheu

_ blood, due to neglected
kidney trouble.
Kidney trouble causes quick or unsteady
heart beats, and makes one feel as though
they had heart trouble, because the heart is
over-working in pumping thick, kidney-
poisoned blood through veins and arteries.
It used to be considered that only urinary
troubles were to be traced to the kidneys,
but now modern science proves that nearly
all constitutional diseases have their begin
ning in kidney trouble.
If you are sick you can make no mistake
by first doctoring your kidneys. The mild
and the extraordinary effect of Dr. Kilmer’s
Swamp-Root, the great kidney remedy is
soon realized. It stands the highest for its
