The Vote In the Country.
At the country precincts the polls
closed at 3 o'clock in the afternoon
and the result at each polling place j
solldated vote at the county precincts
was known here by 7 o'clock, and the
figures are as follows:
For ordinary: Capt. John A Cobb
383; Judge I. N. Mott 162.
For sheriff: J. J. Wilson 305; W.

It was just 2 o'clock Thursday af
ternoon that the result was definite
ly known.
The result showed that Sheppard
and Griffin, were elected to the legis
lature, Feagin sheriff, Cobb ordinary,
Small tax collector, Speer tax re
ceiver, Childers solicitor and Edgar
Jenkins Coroner.
These were the several candidates
having opposition.
For county commissioners, ten In
the race and five to be elected,

B. Hooks, H. J. Webb, and J. F.
were elected, their term be
ing for four years.

primary the executive committee
found that It had enough money left
on hand to pay back to each candi
date a little more than half of his
assessment levied for expenses. Each
candidate will thus be refunded 52
per cent of the sum he pajd In.
