Widow Club" bad a delightful meet
ing with Miss Lucy -Williams
Thursday afternoon. Bright and
spirited games were enjoyed.' The
prize, a paic_0f pretty pearl cuff but
tons, was lot for by the visitors,
Misses Annie Timmerman, of Bron-
wood. and Myrtle Sanburn. of Amerl
cus, the former being the fortunate
one. After the games, delicious re
freshments. consisting of Ice cream
and cake were served. Cut flowers
were used to beautify the living
room, where the games were played.
All present were indebted to Mlqs
Williams for several Joyous hours.

Hudson went to Mayfield Tuesday to
a|tend the wedding of Miss Pearl
Reynolds and Mr. M. L. Hudson, Jr.,
on Wednesday evening. Miss Reyn

many ezcellent traits. Mr. Hudson,
who la wellknown here, this being hit
old home, is held in high esteem by a
large circle of friends.

fourth year near Sanford, tho celery
field of the peninsular state. Mr.
Brady lias Just shipped his first car
load of the growing crop, of which he
has six acres. Thla car was Mini
from fourteen rows, 170 yardB long
nnd 30 Inches apart, nnd netted Mr.
Brady more than *700 oh tho track at
Sanford. Aa It would require about
twenty-one acres fine cotton to yield
$700, it will be seen readily that cel
ery as a money crop beats the fleecy.
