SmlthvUle, Ga., Oct. 6.—Smlthville
mourns the loss of a good woman. The
death of Mrs. W. H. Lunsford, which
occurred at her home on Saturday
morning of last week, has caused
pall of gloom to spread over the '
tire town. She Is gone, hut what
heritage she has left us! What an ex
ample as a mother and friend: what
an example of Christian fidelity. Her
death was n shock and a blow to her
church, community, and greatest of
all, to her family. She was taken
away without a moment's notice. Early
the evening before she was convers
ing with friends and letting them how
well Bhe felt, little did she know that
so soon she would be touched by the
Icy hand of death. She was a true,
consistent Christian, and her life was
made up of those things which tend to
make up a noble character. We real
ize the loneliness in tbe home now,
where she was a steady source of
light, love and helpfulness to her
family. We cannot understand the
ways of Providence yet we turn to
Him who doth all things well and say,
"Thy will be done."
