Bronwood, 0*., Jan. 19.—The party given by Ur. and Mrs. Tom Hall was very much enjoyed by all who attend- Mr. and Urs. J. C. Turner visited the latter’s parents, Ur. and Mrs. Peter Bverette, Sunday. Among those In the party were: Messri. T. J. Welsh, J. W. Montgomery, W. E. Jenkins. J. A. King, Howell Cobb, Henry McDowell, J. C. McEarchen, and J. E. Terry. Friends or Ulss Georgia Anderson wU learn with regret that she has exchanged places with Urs. Ramsey. Mrs. Ramsey has purchased the J. A. Reeves house and will make this her borne, to t he delight ot her many friends here. The Woodmen spent a very pleas ant evening at their ball last Friday when they had a veritable feast of oysters for supper. ,Mrs. J. W. Crawley Is spending a few days pleasantly with friends here. 'Urs. 8. C. Jenkins has returned to her home In Columbus, after a visit or some length to Ur. and Urs. W. E. Jenkins. Mr. Cobb Tharp spent a day or two last week very pleasantly with borne tylks. iMrs. Carrie Ross has returned to her home after spending some time here with her mother, Mrs. Smith. *\Mba Annabel Kidd, of Americus, Is making ber home with Mr. and Mrs. O. E. Thornton, having moved here last week. Ulss Mary Bell has returned from a delightful visit to her annt, Mrs. Bob Pilcher, near Americus. Mr. J. A. Reevea and family have moved to Milan, and will make that their home. Mrs. C. C. Turner Sunday. Mlsies Mae and Myrtle Hall were callers at Mrs. Jesse Sapp's Sunday. Mr. Ed. Rainey and sister, Elner, from below Bronwood, spent Friday and Saturday with their brother, Mr. Claude Rainey. Mr. and Mrs. Riley Herrington and daughter, Ruby Joe, spent Sunday pleasantly with Mr. and Mrs. Tom Hall- Miss Effie Brinkley went over Satur day to spend several days with her sis ter, Mrs. Anna Davis and Miss Lisa Brinkley. There will be a party at Mr. C. C. Turner's Friday night, 21st. Every body Is Invited. Mr. Jesse C. Turner Is confined to the house with rheumatism. Dr. Bowman made a professional call at Mr. Robert Allen’s Sunday. Mr. Al len’s wife being on the sick list Miss Topey McCarty spent the week end In Dawson with homefolks. Messrs.
