Pale-Faced Women
You ladies, who have pale faces, sallow complexions,
dark circles under eyes, drawn features and tired, worn-
out expressions, you need a tonic.
The tonic you need is Cardui, the woman s tonic.
It is the best tonic for women, because its ingredients
are specifically adapted for women’s needs. They act on
the womanly organs and help to give needed strength and
vitality to the worn-out womanly frame. .
Cardui is a vegetable medicine. It contains no min
erals, no iron, no potassium, no lime, no glycerin, no dan
gerous, or habit-forming drugs of any kind. ,
It is perfectly harmless and safe, for young and old to use.

Atlanta, Ga., April 2D.—“The cot-!
crop of Georgia from Atlanta to Amcr-^
icusaud from Atlanta to Columbus has
been practically destroyed,” said Com-
missloser of Agriculture Thomas G.
Hudson this morning.
"Tt'e last cold spell culminating in
the snow this morning,” he continued.,
“has rotted the seed and will make
replanting necessary. Most of the
cotton In the territory I have named
was planted the latter part of March
and the first part of April. In my
opinion all of this Is hepelessly ruin
ed. Cotton planted within the past
week will fair better. The seed plant
ed within the last five of six days
days has not had tide to germinate
and may escape the fate of that plane- 1
ed earner. I think the damage to the
fruit crop has been slight, as It had
advanced to such a stage cold weather
could not harm It. Vegetation, how
ever. has suffered.
"It certainly does look blue for cot
ton,” continued Commissioner Hudson.
“The farmers of the state have sold
their cotton seed closer this year
than I have ever known them to do
before, and there is practically none
on hand for replanting. With the crop
in middle Georgia doomed and no seed
for replanting, It looks now as If not
more than one-sixth of a crop can bo
raised this year. Thq’ cotton In South
Georgia that is above ground will be
come 'possum-eared, as some describe
It, a.'.l wll be almost worthless. Lit
tle cotton, ihear, has been planted !n
Nortb Georgia, and this part of the
state will not suffer as much as the
middle section.”

New Orleans, Le., April 25.—With
a more or less general understanding
In the cotton future market at the
close Saturday that the weather would
prove a big factor In the market this
week, futures opened here today 14 to
34 points above last week’s close and
exhibited a marked tendency to seek
higher levels from the very start.
Tbe future market continued to seek
higher levels as the day advanced and
at noon the new crop months showed
an advance of $2 50 a bale over Sat
urday's Closing prices.

Chicago, April 25.—With the worst
ui the blizzard believed to be past and
the temperature hovering within a few
degrees of tt'e freezing point, more ac
curate figures as to the loss t,o fruit
and other crops brsed upon fact are
being reported from the storm swept
sections of tho Midle West today. The
more conservative estimates place the
loss at 138,00,000, while others de
clare the loss will be at least TC0,000,-
