Nicholson's mill nesr he-e last Friday evening was the cause of some excitement here. Mrs, Ixmlse Jones Furgason, 'of Manila, has been the recipient of many social attentions during her visit t*e;e to Mr. and Mrs. Ed Timmerman. A lovely affair was the entertain ment given by Miss Lucy Williams one evening this past week In honor of Mrs. Furgason. The rooms were bright and Inviting with* their deco rations of flowers and growing plants. Mrs. Joseph Williams assisted- Miss Williams In entertaining the guests. Late In the evening dainty Ices were served. Tables were placed on the lawn, where "42," heart dice and other games were played. -At the beautifully urranged punch table Misses Carrie and Catherine Ol iver and Mary and Ruth Ruittn pre sided, and the delectable beverage was enjoyed thoroughly throughout the games. Late In the afternoon delicious Ices and cake were served. Miss Carter was attired In lavender silk moussollne and Mrs. Furgason wore a handsome gown of pink satin.
