Glis- »oc, tbe session of Sumter Superior t for tbe Hay term came to a close with many of the most important cases disposed of. Judge Littlejohn, who presided dur ing tbe session of ten days, formally adjourned tbe court at 5 o'clock. The grand jury made its general pre sent ments just prior to tbe adjourn ment of court and were discharged for tbe term. Tbe presentments of tbe grand jury will be publisbed In full, | tomorrow, and will be found of inter est Many subjects relative to the public weal were covered in tbe recommenda tions made by tbat body, in eluding tbe abolition of one or more of tbe coun ty offlees. This session of court baB been of rather unusual brevity, both for lack . of business and due to tbe illness of several attorneys. | Among the members of tbe bar thus' indisposed are Col. H. B. Simmons and Col. L. J. Blalock. There were less than a dozen new cases upon tbe civil docket at tbe be ginning of tbe session—not counting di vorce cases—and these were disposed of within two days.
