Plains, Ga., July 27.—(Special.)—
Ti.'i» has been a very gay, happy
week for the younger set, so many
delightful parties having been ar
ranged for the visiting young ladies.
Miss Guasle Evans entertained in a
charming manner Monday evening at a
progressive converts ion party in
honor cf her visitor, Miss Carrie Pass-
more, cf Weston. The parlors and
broad veranda was made unusually
attractive with ferns and quantities of
cut flowers. Miss Evans received her
guests in a red satin gown. Miss Pass-
more was lovely, attired in pink silk.
In a prettily arranged nook on the
veranda little Misses Theresa Walters
and Bertha Howe!! served punch.
At the close of the evening dainty
cakes and ices were served.
Miss Mattie Stapleton entertained
Tuesday evening, c.mplimentary to
the visiting young ladies, about twen
ty guests being present. All spent a
most enjoyable evening.
The visitors were given a delightful
moonlight picnic out at Magnolia
Springs on last Monday evening.
Among the delightful parties of this
week was that at which Miss Marge-
ruite Hudson entertained in honor of
Miss Genevieve French, of Vidalia
Many interesting games were played
during the evening, billowed by dainty
refreshments.
Miss Carrie Passmore, of Weston, Is
the admired guest of Miss GuS3ie
Evans.
Miss Carrie Hagerson. of Friendship,
is an attractive guest at the home of
Mrs. H. R. McGee.
Miss Sallie Mae Strickiend return
ed Tuesday to her home at Concord,
Ga., after a pleasant visit to Mrs. E.
Timmerman here.
Mr. and Mrs. E. T. bunsford and
daughter, Melba, left Thursday for
White Springs, Fla., to be fine ten
