Americus received yesterday the second bale of new cotton marketed here, and like that received last week from the same source, classed well and brought an excellent price. It was a lye county hale, and was shipped to Harrold Bros., who in turn sold It a Columbus firm, anw thus helped that market to its second bale. Thus far but one bale of Sumter county cottun baa been marketed, owing to the unus ual lateness of the crop this season, although in many fields the open bolls are numerous and not a few farmers here could pick and market a new bale if they but cared to go to the trouble and extra cost of getting It out non-. Several bales are expected here this week, however, although the August movement will be unusually light. BIG GROWD WILL BE OUT TO GREET HALL Will Go At Things in Ham mer and Tong Style.
