There is an active, strong demand for
long staples at lt>c. Then why not plant
it? Your answer is. Because none of the
long staple will make enough to the acre
to justifiy planting it even at lticts. per
lb.; it is difficult to giu it prnptrly: it is
hard to pick out, and lands will net pro¬
duce staples, and so on.
inland/Sea Island is a long staple cotton
in which all objections are removed. It
is enorraous'y prouductive, easily ginned
and no trouble to pick out. You can make
it with no extra expense or trouble. See

This isto certify rhat I had “Inland Sea
Island” cotton planted in alternate plots
with Sea Island. A lit-on’s Silk, Allen
latest improved long staple, Ozier Silk
Soutbern hope and some cither verities of
long lint. Tl e Inland Sea I-land was a
great deal earlier than any of them and
made one-third more lint per plot (of
same size) than anv, and double as much
as any save one variaty (Ozier Silk).
While the lint was no longer than the
Allen, it was rnuen finer softer and richer
collored than it or any except Sea I-land
and Aliisan's Si’.k. put it made tour times
as much per plot as either of these two
1 think your Inland Sea Island a big
jump forward in the long tint business; be¬
cause of its ear'iness and Prolificness.
