Fourh.—We demand .a graduated in
come tax.
Fifth.—We believe that the money of
the country should be kept as much as
possible in tbe hands cf the people, and
hence we demand that all state and na¬
tional revenues shall he limited to the
necessary expenses of the Dovernmen
economically and honestly administered
Fifth.—We demand that postal savings
hanks be tstablished by the governunt
for the safe deposit of the earnings of the
people and to facilitate excliaoge.
Seventh.—^Transportation being a means
of exchange and a ) ublic necessity, the
government should own and operate tiie

Ei-.lith.—The telegraph and the tele¬
phone, like the post-office system being i
necessity for transmission of news, should
be owned and operated by the Govern¬
ment in the interest of the people.
Ninth.—The land. Including all the nat
ural sources of wealth is the heritage
of all the people and should not bfe mo¬
nopolized for speculative ptrposes, and
alien ownership of lands should be pro
hibited. All land now held by lailroau
and other corporations in excess of their
actual needs,and all lands now owned b
aliens should be n claim d ny the Govern
ment and held for actiun settlers o
