VOL XXVIII.
HON. J. B. ALLEN
Of the Supreme Court of Ohio, Had
La Grippe—Praises Pe-ru-na.
Dr. Hartman is receiving hundreds of
letters every day about his famous rem
edy for la grippe. Ordinary remedies
seem of no use. Peruna is the only rem
edy that entirely eradicates this stub
born disease from the system.
Hon. Josiah 13. Allen, Clerk of the Su
preme Court of Ohio, writes Dr. Hart
man on the subject of la grippe as fol
lows:
Columbus, O., April 16,1897.
The Peruna Medicine Co.:
Gentlemen—I have been afflicted with
a disease, commonly known as la grippe,
every winter since that disease was dis
covered. I have tried many remedies
without success. This spring I was in
duced to try a bottle of Peruna. I have
now taken two bottles and have received
much benefit therefrom. In fact, all
symptoms of the disease seem to have
left me. Therefore I cheerfully recom
mend the virtues of Peruna.
Yours truly, JOSIAH B. ALLEN.

To use an eighteenth century phrase
this is an “o’er true tale.” Having hap
pened in a small Virginia town in tlie
•winter of 11)02, it is a story very much of
the present. Up to a Melfa short time ago Mrs.
John E. Harmon, or Station, Va.,
had no personal knowedge of tlie rarecur
alive properties of Chamberlain’s Cough
Remedy. “Last January,” she says, “my
baby took a dreadful cold and one time I
feared she would have pneumonia, but
one of my neighbors told me how this
remedy hud cured her little hoy ai d I be
gan giving it to my baby at once and it
soon cured her. I heartily thank (lie
manufacturers of Chamberlain's Cough
Remedy for placing so great a cure with
in my reach. I cannot recommend it too
highly ail or say too much will in its favor. I
hope wlio read this try it and be
convinced as I was.” For Sale liy Owl
