Mr. Royal Hill aud Dallis Towers
left last week to make their future home

The question before the city fathers is
which does the town need most, a day
or night marshal? We have both. hy
not keep them?
Mr. Moore Kendrick, who has been
quite ill in Macon, at Mercer University,
is reported to be very much improved,
aud will return home shortly.
From all accounts the railroad coal at
the depot is getting short. Wonder who
is using it. The night watchman
should investigate.
Chief of Police Sturdivant, while at¬
tending to duties Sunday, was drawn
over town by two dark horses in a dry
goods’ box for a sleigh.
Mrs. W. L. Kendrick will enteitain
the Floral club at its next meeting. The
time is not far distant, judging from

Russell Reid, oue of Crawfordville’s

nie Nelson Tuesday uight last.
Mrs. J. H. Googer aud daughter, Miss
Lillian, visited relatives iu Greene county
recently.
Edens Wynne filled the vacancy iu his
brother’s stora at Powelton, made by the
illuess of his brother.
Mr. W. T. Nelson went to town Friday,
got snow-bonnd and did not return home
till Monday.
There was considerable commotion in
school last Tuesday, on account of a hog
making its appearance in the school.
