ADVOCATED DEMOCRAT.
VOL. XXX
LIEUTENANT DABNEY,
OF Washington, Says: *' Pe-ru-na is
a Substantial Tonic. 1 '
Albert J. Dabney, Lieutenant U. S. V.,
writes from Washington, D. C., as fol¬
lows :
“After the use of two bottles of Pe
runa I am fully convinced that it is a
good remedy and I can conscientiously
recommend your medicine to anyone
who is in need of a substantial tonic.
It is also a very effective cure for ca¬
tarrh.” ALBERT J. DABNEY.
It is rare indeed that two bottles of Pe
rnna is not sufficient to convince anyone
that Peruna is a good remedy. Once in
the household Peruna generally stays.
More than one-half our ills are due to
catarrh. By catarrh is not meant sim¬
ply catarrh of the nose or head, but ca¬
tarrh of the lungs, stomach, in fact,
every organ of the body. ^
Almost every disease begins at first
with a catarrhal condition of some mu¬
cous membrane. A few doses of Pe
run a In the beginning is sure to pre
vent much sickness. «
Peruna acts as a tonic because it pro
duces healthy mucous me mbra n es Ih
tiS^r^thlESciYand digestive organs. It
immediately begins to brace a person
up because it enables the digestive
organs to do their duty properly.
If you do not derive prompt and satis¬
factory results from the use of Peruna,
write at once to Dr. Hartman, giving a
full statement of your case, and he will
be pleased to give you his valuable ad¬
vice gratis.

We had a pleasant, as well as profita¬
ble, talk with Editor Williams recently,
regarding the policy and conduct of his
paper. He desires to be liberal and con¬
servative, and wants his correspondents
to be likewise. lie says it doesn’t make
any diffarence whether a man is a friend
to the paper or not, he wants him treated
just like he was the best friend the edi
tor had. He doesn't want the paper to
lose interest iu any citizen. He publishes
a paper for the people and allows no per¬
sonal milter or petty spites to interfere
with his news gathering. He may' meet
you almost as a stranger, but along with
his best friends, chronicles your success
and sorrows wherever you may be, and
those who would otherwise forget you
are ever and anon reminded of your ex¬
istence by an item in his paper. Others
may decei v e you, but your county paper
never forgets you, says the editor, if the
publisher is true to his tailing. “Trav¬
eler” was edified with the conversation.
Possibly you don’t deserve decent treat¬
ment by the paper, but you get it just
the same, and if at any lime it should say
things to cause your fur to turn the
wrong way, study a moment and see it it
has not at various times said many nice
things for which you fail to give it
credit. To all of the above you have not
possibly given a passing thought

There is more Catarrh in this sect on
of the country than all other diseases
put together, and until the last lew years

many years doctors pronounciVi it a local
