ADVOCATE-DEMOCRAT,
VOL, XXXI
HON. J. B. ALLEN
Of the Supreme Court of Ohio, Had
La Grippe—Praises Pe-ru-ua.
Dr. Hartman is receiving hundreds of
letters every day about his famous rem¬
edy for la grippe. Ordinary remedies
eeem of no use. Peruna is the only rem¬
edy that entirely eradicates this stub¬
born disease from the system.
Hon. Josiali B. Allen, Clerk of the Su¬
preme Court of Ohio, writes Dr. Hart¬
man on the subject of la grippe as fol¬
lows: O., April 16, 1897.
Columbus,
The Peruna Medicine Co.:
Gentlemen—I have been afflicted with
a disease, commonly known as la grippe,
every winter since that disease was dis¬
covered. I have tried many remedies
Without success. This spring I was in¬
duced to try a bottle of Peruna. I have
now taken two bottles and have received
much benefit therefrom. In fact, all
symptoms of the disease seem to have
left me. Therefore I cheerfully recom¬
mend the virtues of Peruna.

Dear Sir; It’s an old saying; the Lest
advertisment is a pleased customer.
It happens to us continually in this
way: A man buys Devoe for his housio—
he has painted it once in throe years for
a dog’s age, and thinks lie knows what he
wants—buy .‘10 gallons, and has le^t.
He sees right-off that 20 !)• as
much as 80 of anything else. He es
that; it comes quick; it isa surprise . d
he tells of it. The best advertisemeu 1 s
a pleased customer.
Three years roll round. There isn’ t a
sign that his home needs paint; he don't
paint it. Next y T ear he don’t pain’t it.
This comes slow; it is a surprise; but he
has got used to it. Still the best adver¬
tisement is a pleased custormer.
Yours truly
