new Presbyterian church at Un¬
ion Point Sunday. Col. Cloud
says that the Rev. Mr. Mack, of
Fort Mills, S. C., preached a very
fine dedication sermon.
Miss Ollie May and Kissie May
Veazey, of Atlanta, are the
guests of Miss Blanche Taylor.
Tuesday Miss Taylor entertain¬
ed at a spend-the-day-party in
compliment to her guests. Those

The protracted services, con¬
ducted by Rev, C. A. Owens and
Rev. Lamar Sims, closed at Un

Eviline Davis, the wife of
Claud Davis, was bitten b,y a
snake Monday night. She had
gone to feed her hogs, some, dis¬
tance from the house. Upon
returning from the pen, she felt
something strike her on tue
foot, followed by a sting. When
she reached the house, her foot
began to swell. Dr. Reid \\ as
called in. He pronounced made toe
wound as having been oy
