Tallulah Falls property, Including the
Cliff house, to a party living in th<
north. The intention of this ’party is
not known, but it is said that a hand

Valdosta to Have Gas Plant.
F. W. Armslrong of Tallahassee,
Fla., was in Valdosta last wei?K to

State Tax Rate.

Insurance Companies Suspicious.
Fife insurance companies in which

First Call for Veterinary Surgeon.
The first call for a veterinary sur¬
geon under the Fill just passed by
the legislature came to the agricul¬
tural department a few days ago from
Greenville. It was reported to the

the neighborhood appeared to be sick.
While the legislature did not pass tne
law authorising a veterinary surgeon,
it did authorise the commissioner of
agriculture to employ a veterinary
