Mr. and Mrs Dayid Gunn, of Warren,
visited relatives in Black Log district
Sunday last.
Mr. Jim Garrett says when dog days
expired the widowers and young gents of
Barnett section, were left lu a dilapida¬
ted condition.
Stephens Camp of Velerans will meet
again ou the first Tuesday in November.
All members are requested to attend the
meeting.
The negro Greer, the woman slayer,
was convicted in Warren Superior court
last week and sentenced to life imprison¬
ment. ~
Traveler spent the better part ot last
week at Lyceville. doing some tin wr rk
on the old T. D. Lynne homestead. We
were well tak en of by Ms. Frank Asbury
and sister, Miss Ella Asbury. This is a
home famed for hospitality. Mr. Lynne
had much company during his life time,
lie was a strong ’arm of the Baptist de¬
nomination in life and provided for that
church in his will. Mr. Frank Asbury
and sister; are holding the fort at the old
homestead. Traveler put the guttering
ou the house 45 years ago.
