Is a day of organization and it behooves
the farmers to band (ogather in a

alteady been accomplished, we urge
that the Southern Colton Association
offers thorn tin- strongest combination
that they can enter. That the fann¬
ers may bo better able to bold their
crop for a remunerative price,
would urge them to raise an
lit ice of food crops, such as wheat,
oats, barley, rye and that they pay
special attention to pasturage. The
cotton crop will sikui be about all har¬

and continue during the early and late i

should l)e carefully .selected. Be sure
to plant first of all a sufficiency of food
crops for man and beast, and then
raise as much cotton as possible, bv
better fertilization, more thorough pre¬
paration and better cultivation. To
do t .to necessary work successfully,
we must use the von best improved
machinery of every kind. Primitive
implements and old time methods will

His plans are on a Mutual Stock Company basis—purchasing a large body of land forming a
city, and laying the land off into tracts of various sizes, for truck and farm use. The members are
given first choice of what they wish, either lots in the city or land tracts. After the New City is
formed, the lauds around it are divided np into 5 acre tracts, near and around the city. Next comes
ten-acre tracts, then forty, and then eighty-acre farms. Mr. Fitzgerald says he will require some
50,000 acres of land. To get so large a body, he expects to purchase plantations. Tne lands are
all divided up and given direct to the members, so each member gets a deed for his own lots of land.
Under his plan it gives people of moderate means opportunity to own their own homes, with but
very little cost to them. Full plans can be had by addressing Col. P. H. Fitzgerald, 46 Fitzgerald
