Dr. J. A. Rhodes has purchas¬
ed from Mr. J YV. McDaniel,
232 acres of land, the place on
which the latter has been resid¬
ing. The price paid was $2,356.
We regret to know that Mr.
McDaniel will move aback to
Rockdaie county.

Miss Gertrude Lloyd, a beau¬
tiful young lady, of Harlem,
who had been attending the
State Normal school, at Athens,
was badly hurt at Union Point
Sunday. While waiting for the
train, she stepped too near the
track of the main line as the Au¬
gusta train was coming to the
station. She was thrown sev¬
eral feet, falling on her head.
She was badly injured about
spine, head and face.
