Legal Fight Oyer
a Young Boy.
There was quite an interesting
case before Judge Holden here
Saturday. The 8-year-old boy
of Mr. Tolbert Jones, of Atlanta,
had been taken from the "Home
of the Friendless” by Mrs. Bes¬
sie Hill, of Crawford, Ga. Dr.J.
L. Moore, of Atlanta, had a sis¬
ter of the boy in question at his
home, of desired the boy. The
father ot the children also want¬
ed Dr. Moore to have the boy.
Mrs. Bill objected to giving the
boy up. A law suit resulted.

ucation granted a leave of ab¬
sence until Jan. 1st. to Miss
Claudia Perkins teacher of the
primary department of the pub¬
lic school. She will spend this
time in Atlanta under treatment
of a specialist. Her many friends
sympathize very deeply with
her in her recent affliction and
sincerely hope she will return at
opening of the spring session
entirely relieved of her throat
trouble. This L her third year
in our schooj. and she is greatly
beloved by pupils and patrons.—
