Mr. Wales W. Thomas will here¬

tury and is one of the best news¬
paper men in the State. Mr. T.
C. Moore, who is a brother of
Mr. C. G. Moore formerly editor

It is said that a clay has been
discovered near Crawfordville
which can be utilized in making
paint. We have not yet seen
any of the clay but are informed
that it promises to prove a valu
able discovery.
Mr. W. O. Wright, of Craw
fordville, has purchased the gro¬
cery business of Mr. W. W. De
Beaugrine whose health failed
him. Mr. DeBeaugrine will con¬
tinue to furnish our people with
the meat market- We are glad
to welcome Mr Wright and wish

Resolutions on the Death
of Dr. A. G. Beazley.
At regular communication of
Dawson Lodge, No. 67, F. & A.
M., held at Crawfordville, Jan.
12, the following preamble and
resolutions were unanimously
adopted:
Whereas it has pleased the
Great Architect of the Universe
to remove from our midst onr
late brother Arthur G. Beazley,
and,
Whereas, It is but just that a
fitting recognition of his many
virtues should be had, therefore
be it
Resolved, by Dawson Lodge,
No. 67. on the registry of the
Grand Lodge of Georgia, ot An¬
cient Free and Accepted Masons,
that, while we bow with humble
submission to the will of the
Most High, we do not the less
mourn for our brother who has
been taken from us.
Resolved, That in the death of
Arthur G. Beazley this lodge la¬
ments the loss of a brother who
was ever ready to proffer the
hand of aid and the voice of sym¬
pathy to the needy and distress¬
ed of the fraternity; a useful
member of this society, whose
utmost endeavors were exerted
for its welfare and prosperity; a
friend and companion who was
dear to us all; a citizen whose up¬
right and noble life was a stand ¬
ard of emulation to his fellows;
a man who to a marked and no¬
ticeable degree, loved his fellow
men; and a physician whose
God-giyen powers were always
at the service of the Buffering.
Resolved, That the heartfelt
sympathy of this lodge be extend¬
ed to his family in their afflic¬
tion.
Resolved, That these resolu¬
tions be spread upon the record

Crawfordville Democrat.
Will Try to Pay Teachers Monthly.
Tne County Board of Education
is trying to perfect arrangements
by which the teachers of the
county will receive their salaries
monthly. This wouid be most
welcome to every teacher in the
county.
It is proposed to have a six
months public term this year
and the board desires that four
months of the term be taught by
the first of September.
