Whereas, it has pleased <-ur he.i-
venly Father to take these dear
j sisters from their toita and troubles
here below to their home above,.
be It resolved by the church,
1— That wc, as individuals and
church, will strive by the example*
of these sisters to live nearer to.
Christ and our duty in the future-
than we have in the past,
2— That in their death the church
has lost three of Its most earnest,
faithful, pious mem hers, the cause
of Christ three of its brightest lights
and the community three of it best
friends.
3— Tlmt while we mourn, we do.
not sorrow as those who have no
hope, for we feel assured that they
are witli him whom they so nmclv
loved and in whose service they
took so great delight.
4— That we tender our sympathy
to the bereaved families and pray
God to give grace to sustain and
comfort them in their sad affliction.
5— That a copy of this preamble
and resolutions he furnished the
families of the deceased, and a page
in our church book be left to their
memory, and a copy be sent to thet
Christian Index, Schley County
Enterprise and Sumter Republican
for publication.
