She accepted Christ . as her Saviour ,
several years ago, n but had never
united with any church. On the
morning n of lier death, ’ she called
each member of the family to her
bed-side, bidding them a last
farewell, asking them to meet her
in Heaven. All was done for her
recovery that loving hands and
medical skill could do, but all to
no avail. .Mrs. Pinyan was just
in the bloom of life—about 27
years of age. She leaves a father,
mother, three sisters and a broth
er, besides a little son, 5 years
old, to whom she lias always been
a dutiful daughter, a loving sister
ai d a fond mother. Her death
is but another link in the goldon
chain that binds the family to
that Eternal ho n ■ where partings
are no more.

His friend* are of lie* opinio ,

auade him to remain at the Tech.
He is the best college pitelur
ever turned out in the south,
Willy Sanford not excepted, and
that is saying a great deal. While
Lawson, of North Carolina, held
the honors for several veins, hi*
place has been usurped by Hen
ley, and Gunn, who was counted
as Henley’s superior, is no longer
put in that class. He comes a
close second, however, and should
he be transferred to the Tech team
and should Henley he put over
with Mercer, the chances are that
the result would be interesting.
As captain and pitcher of the
Techs, Henley lias made a wonder
ful reputation as a baseball play
er. In addition to being a goi d
player lie leads his class at t he
Tech school, which goes to show
that he is as well up in his studies
as he is in baseball.
If he goes to Princeton he will

who lias had the honor of wear

for he is sure to make the team, if
he goes there.—Daily News.
