Happy Ramblers
Spring Break! Everyone was
ready for that sound. We usually
go to Destin for this week but this
time it didn’t work out so the kids
went to the mountains; the first
time in years that we had stayed in
Gatlinburg. It was a cabin on a
mountain as steep as Brasstown
Bald! You could see forever!
When the lights came on at night
it was just like a wonderland to
me. Down in the valley you could
see the tall white steeple of a
church with the spotlight shining
on it and then all the small lights
of town around, over on the moun
tainside the lights of the other cab
ins came on and as far around as
you could see were small
sparkling lights. Staying high
above the tree tops is neat but the
ride getting up there is one I could
do without. The boys had much
fun in the hot tub and playing
pool. They tried to teach me how
but I was not nearly as good a shot
as they were but I did pretty good
getting their balls in the pocket!
We went to the Aquarium there
and it was so interesting. All those
beautiful colors of fish, Cindy had
just been snorkeling in the
Caribbean and said it looked like
what she saw. I really enjoyed see
ing it, it is a totally different
aquarium from the Chattanooga
one. I love that one too. While
spring is coming in the Smokies
too, they still have snow on the
mountains. It is pretty to see those
distant mountains with the snow
while you are enjoying the 70s in
the valley. No matter where you
go at this time of year, you will
see beauty and hopefully feel a
closest to the Great Creator of the
wonders of nature we behold.
