Children & Youth Art Exhibit opens this Sunday

The Seventh Annual Pickens
County Children and Youth Art
Exhibit will open at the Art Center
on Sunday, May 2, with an opening
reception. The show will run
through Friday, May 14th.
The Pickens County Children
and Youth Art Exhibit is sponsored
by the Sharptop Arts Association.
Show director Charlotte Hale stated
that, "This years show is exception
ally creative and colorful. Every
child in Pickens County should have
the opportunity to view this art."
Lucy Dickerson is assistant
Director.
The public is invited and there is
no admission fee. The Art Center is
located on D. B. Carroll Street, one
block behind the old Jail.
The show will include work by
students of the following teachers:
Cindy Brown - Pickens High, Dana
Hass - Pickens Middle School, Alli
son Elton - Jasper Middle School,
Rebecca White - Tate Elementary
Dr. Kathy Thompson - Jasper
Elementary and Angela Ladamus -
Hill City Elementary.

Chastity Ramos and Sheena Carver put the finishing touches on
the pictures they will exhibit at the Eight Annual Children & Youth
Art Exhibit.
Amanda Emert works on her abstract oil for the upcoming Chil
dren & Youth Art Exhibit. Many of the works will be offered for
sale during the show.
Dan White and Jenifer Lovell enjoyed producing their entries
for the Eight Annual Children & Youth Art Show.
A woven work by Quana Nash will be on display at the show
which will open this Sunday afternoon at the Art Center in down
town Jasper.
