You and your family are invited
to worship almighty God with us at
Sunday morning’s 8:40 contempo
rary service or the 11 traditional
service. Dr. Billy Martin’s message
this week is entitled “Christ.”
We believe what the Holy Scrip
ture says about Jesus: “To all who
received him, to those who believed
in his name, he gave the right to
become children of God - children
born not of natural descent, nor of
human decision or a husband’s will,
but born of God.”
The seminar entitled Renewing
Our Faith and Transforming Our
Lives In A Reformed Church will
continue this Sunday morning at
9:50. Dr. Bob Pooley will present
The Authority of Holy Scripture.
We are located at 389 Bent Tree
Dr., off Cove Rd., about 4 miles
from Jasper. For information about
various programs please call the
church office 9-3, M-F, 770-893-

7 nce a necessity, the little outbuilding stands Luke 7:1-17
only as a reminder of times past when visitors
came and went, even in the middle of the night, in all kinds of
weather. There are few locations in our country today where these
little houses of necessity serve a real purpose, replaced by modern
plumbing, bubbling tubs, and even heated floors.
Yet, there are some necessities that can never be replaced or
improved upon, except by consistent practice and attention. They
are not tangible, but of the heart and the spirit.
Prayer is as necessary in our lives today as it was more than a
thousand years ago. The psalmist David said, I will wait for the
Lord, my soul waits, and in His Word I hope. (Psalm 130:5)
When we go to God in prayer, we must slow down and wait for
Him to speak to us. In our hurried lives, we still must take time to
listen for God s ever-present guidance. Our Heavenly Father
never changes in His love for His children.
As we give attention to prayer, and also practice weekly
worship, we take God with us through the week, so he becomes
our unchanging source of comfort and consolation. Won t you put
your faith in the unchangeable? Won t you put your faith in God?

the ministry of many children and
it is often a painful process for both
parent and child. Sunday, Pastor
John Reale will present a message
on “Caring For Aging Parents.”
Come and grow in understanding
of how this time can be used of
God as a blessing.
Morning worship services are at
