Habitat for Humanity looking for “people”
The local Habitat for Humanity

least three fronts as things are heat

about people, all kinds of people
who need or want to honor God by
getting involved in this ministry to
God’s people in need:
1. People who need safe, decent
and affordable housing are needed
to enter into partnership with Habi
tat to become homeowners. If you
think you may qualify, please con

application meetings to be held on
May 13 at 7 p.m. and May 15 at
9:30 a.m. Both meetings will be
held at the First Baptist Church of
Jasper located at 198 E Church St.
2. People who want to get their
churches involved are also wanted.
Our Church Relations Committee is
getting off the ground. People who
would like to get involved with
Habitat and help their church and
other churches get involved too are
needed. The committee is just get
ting started; so come on, there’s a
place for you.
3. Our next house is just now
coming out of the ground on Twin
Oak Trace; you people who want to
drive nails, hang sheetrock, pull
wire, plant or feed the troops are
needed. Workdays will be Tues
days, Thursdays and Saturdays.
So, if you are a person who
wants to be involved in any of these
(and there are other ways too) give
Habitat for Humanity-Pickens
County a call, 253-2329, or show up
at one of the meetings. Habitat for
Humanity; changing lives one fami
ly and one house at a time.
